HIMSS DACH Community

D-A-CH session at WoHIT 2016

D-A-CH-Community: Results from the D-A-CH Community Working Groups

22 November 2016, 12:15 - 13:00

The 3 German-speaking markets are moving towards digital health at very different speeds. Austria has already implemented a national health record and operates it very successfully. Switzerland will embark on a similar nation-wide implementation from the beginning of next year onwards. Germany, Europe's biggest market, has launched eHealth legislation already last year - it is clearly not as far-reaching as the one in Austria and Switzerland, but will be subject to further evolution by the incoming German government.

This session will present the findings of 2 working groups within the HIMSS D-A-CH Community and addresses the question of how healthcare providers can face the challenges of cyberattacks. Moreover, it will show the audience what will be recommended to the new German government in respect to further accelerating digital health in Germany.

Both subjects are highly relevant for healthcare providers and industry that are active in the 3 German speaking markets or plan to access them.
